Vilas del Turbón was the official water of one of the most important annual gastronomic events, SAN SEBASTIÁN GASTRONOMIKA, which took place on 21st, 22nd, and 23rd November 2009. The best international chefs came together at the event over a period of three days.
Vilas in New York
Vilas del Turbón was chosen to join Fine Waters at their pavilion during the COOK, EAT, DRINK, LIVE tasting event last November in New York. Participants had the opportunity to taste 11 exclusive premium waters including Vilas del Turbón.
Vilas at Naríz de Oro
Once again Vilas del Turbón has been chosen as the official water of the Nariz de Oro competition, which brings together the country’s best sommeliers every year.
Vilas at Whisky Live
Vilas del Turbón was present at both Whisky Live fairs in 2009, which took place in Madrid and Barcelona. Broadening its scope of influence, Vilas del Turbón was chosen to be the official water of the event and was served with the best whiskeys in the world.
Vilas at Loop 2009
This is the 3rd year that Vilas del Turbón is the official water of the Video Art festival LOOP’09, which took place in Barcelona from the 21st to the 31st of may.
Catala de l’any
Vilas del Turbón was present as official water, at the award ceremony of the “Català de l’any”, which took place on the past 1st of April 2009 in Barcelona. The award went this year to Vicente Ferrer.
8th Verema Meeting
On the past 27th and 28th of February 2009, Vilas del Turbón was present in the 8th Verema Meeting, as official water. Once again the neutral flavor of Vilas del Turbón was chosen to marinate with the wines of this event.
Vilas at LOOP 2008
Vilas del Turbón, as the official water, was present for the second time at this international fair, which is becoming an essential meeting point for artists, gallery owners and collectors.

“In the programme La Tarda presented by Elisenda Roca on BTV channel the Vilas del Turbón water was introduced, among 5 other premium waters, as the gourmet water especially intended to harmonize with wine, thanks to its low sodium content and exquisitely neutral taste.”
Conference of Zaragoza
“Vilas del Turbón was the official water at the “8th Conference of the Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM)”. The Ministers of Agriculture of 11 Mediterranean member countries (Spain, Italy, Portugal, France, Malta, Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey, Greece, Albany, Algeria, Lebanon and Morocco) met in Zaragoza from the 3rd to the 6th of February. And Vilas was present all the time.”
LOOP - VideoArt
The Loop is becoming an important reference point for all video art professionals, both nationally and internationally. For what will be the 5th convocation of this event, participants will include the most distinguished artists, 45 galleries, distributors, collectors, museum and festival directors. More than 800 works will be exhibited, offering the public a diverse amalgamation of new creativity. For this reason, Vilas del Turbón will be the official water of this important event, where, without doubt, good taste and a passion for the latest trends are the order of the day.
Club de Gourmets
Club de Gourmets, which has for the past 30 years documented the latest and most important developments in cuisine, wineries and hotels from around the globe, has created for their exhibition salon a tasting of the “most exquisite waters of the world” to provide information on their various qualities. Among the several waters selected, Vilas de Turbón has been highlighted for its low mineralization, its tradition, for its curative properties (having been classified as a medicinal mineral water since 1958) and for its elegant packaging. According to the Club, people in Spain “do not have to leave the country to find high quality water”.
Bar Business
Bar Business, a magazine for restaurant professionals, in its April 2007 edition reported on the growing interest of people in consuming healthful products, placing emphasis on the consumption growth of special waters in Spain, which still trails the 20% reached by other European countries. After analyzing its various qualities, the magazine named Vilas de Turbón as the leading gourmet water in the Spanish market.
Nariz de Oro 2006
Vilas del Turbón is the official water of the competition “La Nariz de Oro - Sumiller” (The Golden Nose - Sumiller), organised by the magazine “Vino y Gastronomía”(Wine and Gastronomy).
“Nariz de Oro” (literally, “Golden Nose”), the most important wine competition in Spain, sets out to find the best sommelier in the country. The event was held for the fifteenth time in 2006 and included numerous activities for tasting enthusiasts and professionals.
The best water to accompany wine
The latest annual guide to Spain’s 300 best wines is now available. Entitled La Guía de los 300 mejores vinos de España 2006-2007and published by Vino y Gastronomía Comunicación S.L., it offers “a selection based purely on the pleasure provided by tasting and drinking each wine, independently of its price or the prestige of the winery from which it originates.”
Alongside this selection of the best wines, the gourmet mineral water Vilas del Turbón is also singled out on account of its low mineral content, almost non-existent taste and exceptional transparency, which makes it the ideal water to accompany wine of the highest quality, as well as the most select dishes.
A mention in Thermaespa
In its winter 2006 issue, Thermaespa, the specialist hydrotherapy and water culture magazine, published a special feature on exotic, luxury and select bottled waters. The article outlines the latest news and trends in water consumption, and explains how a water tasting is organised. It also refers to Vilas del Turbón as the leader in the gourmet water market, highlighting its packaging, which transmits a “sophistication reminiscent of other products in the market, such as cava.”
